In Germany most of the sea outlets were built in the years 1970 - 1985. Outlets were carried out into the Northsea and Eastsea as well as into the rivers Elbe and Rhein. Since that time TNS has an extensive know-how on the static contsruction and the installation of such pipelines. A co-operation with competent building companies is important because such projects have higher demands than the usual sewer technology on land.
PROFILEEN ® pipes are connected to great lengths without problems. The maximal length depends on the used pipe profile as well as from the installation method in the water. Due to the high demands on the pipe connection the extrusion welding joint is mostly used. Because of the mechanical strength it is possible to move the pipes in the water and to lay them on the sea-bottom without any danger of damages.
Of course TNS has also special joints which can be made under water by divers. Only so, the connection with the buildings or several pipelines is possible. For this we use a rubber joint connection which is also arrest mechanically.
As our PROFILEEN ® pipes are lighter than water the transport on the water is no problem. Either the laying onto the sea-bottom occurs by additional weights which are at the outside of the pipe, by anchoring on the sea-bottom and winches or by filling the "hollow chambers" in the profile e. g. with light concrete..
The sea outlet needs not only a good pipe as well but a complete system. The outlet buildings are an important element. The cross-section of the pipe is considerably enlarged and has to be optimize hydrodynamic optimized. Such fittings made of PP are produced by us and delivered to the construction site completely prefabricated.

This company accomplished sinking 25 meter of 2500 mm diameter PE pipes in Persian Gulf for the first time in the world. Also the whole sea wastewater outlets have been executed by bauku Company in Germany during 1970 to 1985 which led us to a great and precious package of expertise. The sea basin project of Pardis has been introduced as the biggest PE sea pipeline in the world which was accomplished by TNS cooperation. This project has been designed and executed in order to supply the cooling water for urea and ammonium unit of Asalooye petrochemical company. In this project, 54,000 cmh sea water is transferred to the pumping basin by means of 2 pipelines with total length of 1700 meter and diameter of 2500 mm from the depth of 25 m in the sea. After welding and installing the concrete sinkers in the landside, pipes are transported to the sea and installed in defined place. You can see the process in the following figures. The pipes applied in this project have been carefully selected based on hydraulic calculation, structural calculation, and sinking analysis.

Regarding the significance of these kinds of projects, the safe and proper installation of the pipe line should be conducted as follow:
1- Selecting a site for connecting the pipe (mechanical jointing or welding) near the sea.
2- Accomplishing the welding process, if it is needed, by the certified and expert team from BAUKU/TNS.
3- Installing the concrete ballast on the pipes. (injecting grout in to core tube in especial design)
4- Transferring the connected pipe line
(spool) to the sea by proper equipments.
5- Sinking the spool in the sea by “float and sink” method For an example of such project done by TNS Company, we would proud to mention the project performed in 2010 for South Pars Oil & Gas Company.
Here is another project of our company to present briefly. This project was performed in 2010 for oil and Gas Company of south pars. The main goal was the production and installation of the PE pipes in return and desalination line with the following properties: The client: South Pars oil & Gas Company The contractor: Engineering and technology institute of Sepanir The second contractor: Omran Sahel Company The consultant: Moshaver Sahel Company Manufacturer and installation & welding The pipe provider: TNS Company Project Details: 5,095 m pipe with diameter of 1400 mm for onshore parts including: outfall, bypass, brine. 1,375 m pipe with diameter of 1400 mm for marine parts including: outfall. The pipes were equipped with all necessary parts such as bandings and joints. The connection type was socket & spigot with PE welding according to DVS2207 & DVS2209 standards. Taking the advantage of the expert team in-site with valuable certification from Germany and also the constant presence of quality control team in installation site. The quality of welding and installation stages was carefully supervised and guaranteed. Constant testing and inspection from IS company in behalf of Sepanir company is another reason for insuring the high quality of our products.
