Polyethylene and polypropylene are thermoplastic materials and their basic composition is coming from the oil or natural gas. Due to different polymerization processes, the properties of the materials can be optimized for different applications.
To care for our natural resources means, to use less material to achieve an optimized result at the product. Our profiled plastic pipes save up to 50 % material compared with a normal axial extruded solid wall pipe.
The energy balance of a product is as well an important key to environmental protection. We mainly need electricity to run our production facilities. To fabricate a PROFILEEN-pipe DN 2000 with a length of 6 m, we need approx. 330 kWh - a low value compared with other pipe materials. Drinking water is the most important resource for life, but at the same time it is limited in quantity. All our production facilities are operated with a closed water cycle, so they do not need drinking water.
Our complete production process is environmental friendly and we do not have any dangerous emissions. Every waste from the production process is collected and is once again added to the production process. The quality of HDPE and PP is not lowered during the recycling process. We do not use recycling material from the market, as this material would not fulfill our high quality standards.
Our products are fabricated according to DIN 16961, March 2000 and DIN EN 13476, September 2006 (copied in ISO DIS 21138). The installation is carried out according to EN 1610, October 1997. We will name other relevant norms and standards on request any time. Beside all these norms The TNS has its own department for quality control including a test laboratory. Here we are able to do all examinations such as MFI, OIT, Ring stiffness, Ring flexibility, seam strength and ... which are all based on the relevant standards. Our staff has all necessary qualifications and certificates for this important task.
